Firm provides single window solution for protection of trademarks in Maldives.

Maldives does not have codified law for trademark protection so it is not possible to file an application for registration of a trademark in Maldives. However, limited trademark protection may be obtained by publication of Cautionary Notices in leading local newspapers in English and Dhivehi (Maldivian) languages.

Cautionary notice should preferably be published at a regular interval of three years. Publication of cautionary notice is the only way to have any trademark protection in Maldives and to take any action against the trademark violator / infringer in the court of law.
