Mrs. Vatsala Singh Hasan is an Advocate as well as Registered IP Attorney. She is registered to practice before Indian Courts as well as Patent, Trademark, Design, Copyright and Geographical Indications (GI) Office. She is an IP expert with about 19 years of professional experience dedicated to Intellectual Property Rights and industry. She is also WIPO certified.
Since past many years she has been involved in handling Intellectual Property matters for Indian and overseas clients with key focus on trademarks and copyright. She has been the key resource in the firm offering end-to-end solutions for all trademarks related issues including trademark infringement, trademark search and advice, preparing and filing trademark and copyright applications, prosecution of trademark and copyright applications including analysis of examination report and advice, preparing amendments and response, discussion with Examiners, attending personal hearings, handling trademark dispute matters, trademark infringement and passing off matters etc.
Since past many years she has also been actively involved in handling various patent matters like prior art search, infringement analysis, handling IP queries, IP due diligence, IP watch and monitoring, deadline compliances, preparing Indian and PCT applications, preparing and filing formal patent documents, renewals, IP asset management and other contentious and non-contentious matters related to IP domain, coordinating with patent offices and coordinating with Indian as well as overseas associates etc.
She has also been actively involved in delivering lectures & imparting training on IP matters in various reputed educational institutions like Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Hyderabad and University of Hyderabad and has been regular speaker in various national and international events.
She is also the author of one course module for Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management in Agriculture (PGD-TMA 2011), a distance learning program from University of Hyderabad and NAARM Hyderabad.
